The 2024 Los Angeles Dodgers season, Freddie Freeman’s star ended on the highest notes, but 2025 has already taken a sliding start for the World Series MVP.
Freeman missed the match on Monday evening against the Braves of Atlanta after slipping in the shower and injured the right ankle repaired surgically. He suffered the accident at home and came to the stadium on Sunday of the day off for treatment.

“He had a little impact in the shower,” said director Dave Roberts. “A little swollen a little.”
Roberts said that Freeman’s ankle was not exactly 100% before the accident, but he still got out of the door with two circuits and four products produced to start the year when the team was in Tokyo.

“He feels that he could go there and play, but it is enough to recover it today and we will see how he is tomorrow,” said Roberts. “For the most part, he always kicked and cries (play).”
Freeman played the whole MLB in the playoffs with a modified ankle after having walked it at the end of September. However, he came to life against New York Yankees and delivered one of the most epic performances of the World Series of recent memory.
The first base player underwent debridement surgery in December to eliminate cowardly bodies from ankle.

Freeman was a star for the sixth time in seven seasons. MLB did not have a star match during the 2020 season. He had 22 circuits and 89 points produced in 147 games for Dodgers last season.
