Karachi:
The ongoing strike by the Woods Transporters Association seriously disrupted commercial activity in the two ports of Karachi.
According to the Federation of Pakistani Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), the absence of heavy transport vehicles to collect goods not only affected the delivery of imported and exported items, but also presents a serious risk for the national economy.
The president of the Association of Tariq Gujjar property transporters said that the handling of cargoes in the ports of ports and containers had been completely interrupted in the last 36 hours.
On average, 10,000 containers are transported daily between Karachi and other parts of the country. This movement has now arrived at the complete stop.
