Defenders of rights called for the immediate application of child protection policy approved by the Punjab cabinet.
The Executive Director of the Research of Justice, Iftikhar Mubarak, underlined the need for dedicated funding to guarantee that politics does not remain a symbolic gesture. “It is essential that the next provincial budget includes a clear financial commitment to the protection and well-being of childhood,” he said, arguing for a unified action plan that clearly defines the responsibilities of all the departments concerned.

It also recommended the introduction of budgeting budgeting directives to ensure fair distribution of resources and strengthen liability mechanisms.
