A new software update for two of the best Garmin watches for daily use finally brings a support for the safety of the pups, as well as other significant improvements.
Garmin’s 13.17 software for Voom 3 and Vivoactive 5 has been deployed in recent days. Now 100%, the system update provides four modifications, including three significant free upgrades.
In addition to supporting the latest Connect IQ applications from Garmin, watch faces and data fields, the new update adds the management of the Garmin HRM 200, one of the best heart rate monitors on the walk.
There is also an upgrade of the body battery which brings an improved precision for users who have several devices, bringing you a total score of body battery of all your different boys if you have a dedicated model for the race, the diving , golf, etc.

Garmin finally adds passenger codes
As a long -standing user of the best Apple watches, I was shocked to discover that Garmins did not have a password function. Garmin says that the “new” functionality, nicknamed imaginatively “passcode”, helps “protect sensitive data if your watch is never lost or stolen,” making its previous absence all the more confusing. Like the Apple Watch, the functionality is delivered with automatic wrist detection, so if you remove your watch (or if it is deleted by force), the password comes into play, requiring a spindle number to find the access.
Garmin also brings this feature to Fenix 8 and Fenix 8, Enduro 3 and the Forerunner range (165, 255, 265, 955 and 965), with the current deployment.
Since an access code protects fairly large information, including personal health data and text conversations, I have been surprised to learn that functionality has been missing from Barmins for so long. But users who were impatiently awaiting it can now use it on the 3 and vivoactive 5.
