If you have a child who likes to hear about themselves in a story, Gemini Ai from Google has a new tip that could keep them happy for a long time. The new gemini tale book functionality allows you to generate fully illustrated tales of ten pages with a narration from a single prompt.
You describe the story, the look you want and any other detail, and Gemini writes the story, creates images for each page and bed aloud in a few minutes.
The book of tales, in some respects, simply combines existing capacities such as text composition, image generation and vocal narration. However, by putting them in a single fast system, it enormously accelerates the final product. If you don’t like some details of the look or writing, you can simply adjust the book with tracking prompts. You can even feed him a photo to shape the setting or the characters.
To watch
The attraction for those who might think that they are lacking in writing or drawing skills are obvious. No need to hire an illustrator or recording the voices of off yourself. If your child wants a story to sleep on a shy dragon who finds confidence in the music camp, you type this, and in a few minutes, you have a book with images, a narration and a structure page by page.
It’s not just for bedtime either. Teachers can create personalized stories to explain hard subjects, perhaps teaching second-year students on gravity with a friendly astronaut cat. Therapists could use stories books to help children talk about emotions using characters with whom they connect. Aunts and uncles can do personalized birthday stories with interior jokes and pets.
What was a creative project with a high intensity of labor is now something you can do on your phone during the lunch break.
IA storytellers
And it is a notable offset of the standard model with a white to fill a common approach to other AI tools. The narration even adapts to the tone of history, with voices that can be fanciful, soothing or dramatic, depending on what your story needs. Google presents the tool to occupied parents, overworked teachers and creative children looking for a co-author and an illustrator for their ideas.
I asked Gemini to make a story on my dogs that take place in a nature adventure, to share their names and to describe their appearance, and that’s about everything. You can read and listen to the story created by Gemini here.
He did a good job remarkably good, although with a very incoherent look for page dogs on the page and a somewhat dull story. And when I tried it again to see how it would happen with the same invitation, dogs sometimes had more than four members, not exactly reassuring to a child looking forward to a story about their pets.
And although it is theoretically possible that Gemini can write and illustrate a story better than the many books for classic and modern children, or more personally resonant than writing it yourself, I personally have doubts. It is a fun little tip, but the idea of jumping each bookstore, library and pencil box and pencils for an IA alternative that cannot even make your dog look alike on each page looks like the exact activity that I prefer to do myself. I will stop asking AI to help organize my kitchen and leave me the stories at bedtime.
