Gene Simmons has a sweet tooth!
The KISS rocker opened up about his obsession with “cookies, chocolates, cakes”, but had to limit his intake after decades of eating everything he liked.
“When I’m on tour, it doesn’t matter,” he told Men’s Health Magazine.
“I would eat cheesecake every day because I’m wearing 40 pounds of armor, 7-inch wedge heels… You don’t have to do anything. In two hours you’ll be exhausted. The amount of calories burned on stage, it’s like an intense workout. So I could eat anything,” the rock star said.
Gene also revealed that he can take or leave even the fanciest salty foods, but finds it hard to resist sweets of any kind.
“I don’t care if it’s pasta or shmasta, or foie gras and anything with a French name…I don’t care,” he said.
THE Forever The rocker added: “I love cake. Cookies, chocolates, cakes. It’s as much fun as I can have with my pants on.”
However, Gene admitted, an aging metabolism meant he could no longer eat sweets as often or as extravagantly as before.
“I have to watch him. You know, my girlish figure and all,” he said in a weird tone.
“And the older I get… I’m 76 now. The problem is your metabolism, it slows down like the ticking of an old clock. So at 76 I can’t have as much as I want,” said the Detroit Rock City hitmaker mentioned.
