Gervonta Davis was imprisoned after a confrontation with an ex-girlfriend in Florida

Gervonta “tank” Davis was arrested for accusations of violence and domestic violence, according to the correctional files and rehabilitation of the county of Miami-Dade.

The professional boxer was sentenced to the Turner Guilford Knight Correction Center in Florida on Friday, according to the files. An obligation amount has not yet been defined.

The arrest marks the last chapter of the legal problems of Davis.

He was placed under house arrest in June 2023 after pleading guilty in a flight offense accident which made four people injured in November 2020. Davis then violated the terms of his sentence and was imprisoned for the rest of his sentence.

According to police, Davis and the alleged victim were in a romantic relationship for several years and share two children.

According to the report, Davis arrived at the home of his ex-girlfriend with the intention of collecting their children. However, an argument ensued.

Davis would have asked the anonymous woman to remove the children from her vehicle and said that he no longer intended to take them with him. The dispute finally turned into physical altercation, according to the police.

Authorities said Davis refused to fill out a Miranda warning form once he arrived in a police service on Friday.

Davis had a 30-0 file until his fight against Lamont Roach Jr. ended with a draw.
