The latest update for The Civilization of Sid Meier 7 is here and includes a wealth of content for the recent Tides of Power Collection DLC – an expansion available for free now as part of a limited time offer!
Tides of Power Collection owners can now play as the new leader Sayyida al Hurra. Famous historical figure, she was the wife of the king of Morocco and governor of the city of Tetouan. In-game, his abilities are geared towards diplomacy and military strength, with a unique ability to reward a free naval unit for each completed espionage action.
Two new civilizations also arrived: Iceland for the Age of Exploration and the Ottomans for the Modern Age.
Players on all platforms can add the Tides of Power collection to their libraries for free until January 5, 2026. After that date, publisher 2K says it will be available for purchase, so be sure to get it for free while you still can.
It also includes pirate leader Edward Teach, the Pirate Republic and the Tonga civilizations, as well as four new wonders released in November.
On top of that, the update introduces a new Shattered Seas map type. This seems like the perfect fit for those with a thirst for naval combat, with plenty of large islands and oceans to explore.
This is in addition to a host of biome improvements, a few strategic balance changes, and numerous hotfixes that you can view in full via the official patch notes.
The Civilization of Sid Meier 7 is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
