- Gigabyte Aorus RTX 5060 Ti Ai Box Packs Surprising Power of office level with a full RTX 506 Ti
- Compatibility behind ensures that USB4 users are not excluded from upgrades
- The wind shape cooling system can cope with noise challenges in such compact housing
Gigabyte launched the Aorus RTX 5060 Ti AI box, a compact external graphic solution aimed at professionals looking for office quality GPU performance on portable devices.
Unveiled in its event Beyond Edge Online, this device measures 117 x 243 x 45 mm, which makes it closer to a dictionary with rigid coverage that the bulky enclosures generally associated with external GPUs.
According to Gigabyte, the RTX 5060 Ti AI box provides higher graphic capacities to premium laptops and mini PCs.
Thunderbolt 5 Connectivity and bandwidth considerations
It supports Thunderbolt 5 with the PCIe 4.0 X4 flow, which, according to Gigabyte, provides a bandwidth about 5% below a complete PCIe 4.0 x16 location.
Although this suggests an almost desktop reactivity, the adoption of Thunderbolt 5 remains limited to certain models of mobile workstations and high-end notebooks.
USB4 ports limited to USB4 ports are not left behind, as the speaker maintains compatibility backwards.
It can also work with integrated graphics under Project G-Assist to distribute workloads.
Unlike most external speakers that depend on the Mobile Radeon fleas, Gigabyte has equipped this device with a GeForce RTX 5060 of office class with 16 GB of memory.
This doubles the VRAM compared to the typical 8 GB alternatives, which makes it stronger for video publishing or other demanding tasks.
The inclusion of the wind -shaped cooling system is intended to maintain stable temperatures, although it can maintain silent operation in such a small chassis to see.
The use of the Blackwell Architecture and DLSS 4 support from Nvidia gives the characteristics of the modern rendering and the acceleration of the AI.
Beyond raw performance, the Aorus RTX 5060 Ti box is doubled with a mooring solution.
It includes three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, Ethernet Networking, PD 3.0 Charging and Daisy-Chain Functionality for additional Thunderbolt 5 peripherals.
RGB lighting and an illuminated Aorus logo add an aesthetic flair, but for professionals, the real question is whether the device can reliably replace a fixed desktop configuration in daily workflows.
Gigabyte has not announced a launch date or retail price for the Aorus RTX 5060 Ti ai box.
However, the choice of a full office GPU with 16 GB of memory rather than a cut mobile piece suggests that it will be located above the $ 460 PDSF from the standard GEFORCE RTX 5060 TI office card.
