Senate President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani extended sincere congratulations to the leaders, workers and supporters of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on the occasion of its 58th Foundation Day, paying tribute to the party’s historic role in upholding democracy and promoting people’s rights.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Senate President said the PPP, founded under the visionary leadership of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and strengthened by the enduring struggle and sacrifices of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, has always been a symbol of democratic resilience.
