EXCLUSIVE: More than $ 514,000 was given to the “Official Fund for Karmelo Anthony”, on the site of the crowdedo.com.

This sum of half a million dollars is the result of an alleged murder that occurred during a track meeting in Frisco, Texas, on April 2.

The victim was Austin Metcalf, 17, from Memorial High School, who died in a deadly stab. The suspect, Karmelo Anthony, 17, of Centennial High School, has just been released from prison on bail after the lawyers reduced his deposit by $ 1 million.

Anthony told the police that he “did” – which means murder – but said it was in self -defense. He was accused of first degree murder.

Now GiveNedo is leading online fundraising for the legal expenses of Anthony’s family. Other main platforms in the crowd, including GoFundme and Kickstarter, failed to tackle a campaign for Anthony on their sites.

But the co-founder of Givedsgo Jacob Wells and his management team present Anthony’s campaign.

“How much am I proud of this campaign? I don’t do it, I wouldn’t say that I am proud at all,” Wells told PK Press Club Digital in an exclusive interview.

“I have no pride to have this being on Givesendo. I just have an appreciation for what Givedengo is doing in the midst of these tragic moments, which is in principle, who loves people even in the midst of very hard and dark places.”

Wells admitted that there had been other campaigns on his site, such as a fundraising for boys. But Anthony’s fundraising is not part of it.

Wells said his business had never removed campaigns for causes deemed “illegal” or collected funds under false pretexts. He said that he withdrew fundraising to fraudulently collect funds for travel costs while the organizer intended to use the money to buy a firearm.

Wells refused to say directly if there were conversations about the abolition of the campaign, but insists that “roughly” all the people involved in the company leadership supported its platform.

Wells compared the Anthony fund to the one that his platform organized for Kyle Rittenhouse in 2020. This effort made it possible to collect more than $ 250,000 after Rittenhouse fell three men in Kineoa, Wisconsin, during the riots of Jacob Blake.

But now Anthony’s campaign has raised more than twice this number and research more. As Wells and his colleagues were confronted with reactions and death threats, he said that he had a conversation on donating the fundraising of the Metcalf family to try to assert that they are not satisfied with the platform of the Anthony fund for the financial gain.

Wells has also paid particular attention to this campaign in recent weeks because it has been one of the largest and most notorious that its platform has ever organized. He did everything possible to take note of the types of people who make a donation and why they make a donation.

And for him, some of these people donate for “bad reasons”.

“There will always be people who donate for bad reasons, on any campaign. There are people who believe that the best way to follow is racial division. This is what they believe. They will stir up the flames of racial division as they can,” said Wells. “When you live in free societies, which we do, there is a price to pay, and that is to say that some people do things that might not be good. And I think people do it all the time.”

Wells specifically indicated to “defend a racial story” as the bad reason to want to donate to the campaign when asked.

“When someone defends a racial account that is conflicting and not unifying, then I claim that it is a bad reason to make a donation. And there are people who have made a donation that are confused and not unifying. And it is in some comments.” Unfortunately, in free societies, people can say things that are divided and not unified, “said unfortunately.

“They are also going in both directions. We have seen people who have made donations because the gift is a way for you to comment on the campaign page … You have people who are on the other side of the aisle and they will donate the minimum donation of $ 5 just so that they can publish a derogatory comment to the Anthony family.”

However, Wells says that the “overwhelming majority” of commitment to fundraising was not “derogatory”.

Wells refused to point out specific comments which represent the “bad” reasons. However, some public comments examined by PK Press Club Digital reflect the “racial narrative” reference of Wells.

“Honestly, even if Karmelo stabbed Austin for no reason, I always donate and support. The whites left to kill us for hundreds of years. I care less about the life of whites”, read a comment with 53 likes.

Wells blamed “right -wing indignation” for leaving support to fundraising.

“The indignation of the right fueled the response on the other side,” said Wells, adding that he had seen similar models occurring due to the left -wing response to the Rittenhouse fund and when his site organized a campaign to support Daniel Penny after killing Jordan Neely in defense of New York metro runners in 2023.

Representatives of the Anthony family referred to the breed while comparing Anthony’s situation in Rittenhouse’s and Penny’s.

The president of the Next Generation Action Network (NGAN), Dominique Alexander, made the comparison during a press conference on April 17.

“Because these racist fanatics try to prevent us from defending our baby, our boy, he should have the same rights as Kyle Rittenhouse had, Daniel Penny and all the people who claimed whatever their defense – he should have the same right,” said Alexander.

Anthony was recently transferred from his home to an “unknown location to ensure immediate safety” following an “alarming increase in death threats, continuous harassment and physical intimidation intended for the family’s home,” NGAN said in a statement last week.

Meanwhile, the Metcalf family has been the victim of grinding in recent weeks, previously confirmed the Frisco Police Service (FPD). SCATTING, it is when a call to 911 is made, generally to report a violent false crime, to obtain the police and sometimes even the Swat teams, to respond to the address given by the appellant.

Metcalf’s father, Jeff Metcalf, has already said PK Press Club“I want to clarify something right away because I have already heard rumors and gossip. It was not a thing of breed. It is not a political thing.

“Do not politicize this. It is not … He is a human being. This person made a bad choice and affected his family and my family forever.”
