Glen Powell has finally spoken publicly about the long-awaited project, Texas Chainsaw Massacre restart.
For several days, rumors had been circulating about the 37-year-old actor’s attachment to the gory horror project.
It was later confirmed that production company A24 had acquired the rights to make a series on the popular franchise with JT Mollner working on it as director and Powell as producer.
In a recent interview with Variety, THE Running Man The star spoke publicly about the project, confirming his commitment to the project as a producer.
During the conversation, Glen said, “The creators are passionate about the project. They have a very strong vision. Everyone around really cares. When you have that kind of group mentality that protects something like that, I care, everyone cares.”
He admitted that the process of finalizing plans to restart Texas Chainsaw Massacrebut the upcoming project is going to be fun.
“I know we’re going to do something really special with this. I feel really, really good about it. It’s been a long process to get there, but I know we have something really fun waiting for us,” the Anybody But You actor said.
When asked if he would play Leatherface, Powell played coy and changed the subject.
On the work side, the Twists the actor is set to share the screen with Margaret Qualley in How to make a killing.
