Godzilla minus zero has returned with a bang with the long-awaited release date in a new update from the studios.
The sequel to the Oscar-winning film Godzilla minus one has set a premiere date for November 6 in North American theaters.
The newly revealed date quickly follows the release of Godzilla owner Toho, who released the feature film in Japan on November 3.
Although no casting details regarding Godzilla minus zero are still available, the title, a first illustration and a teaser logo were previously revealed.
The announcement of the upcoming film was made during Godzilla Day 2025 at an event in Tokyo following Godzilla minus one success.
The first film was set in post-World War II Japan and centered on a kamikaze pilot, Koichi (Ryunokuke Kamiki), who lives in shame after choosing not to die in combat.
However, he ultimately finds redemption by helping his nation deal with the monster known as Godzilla.
Additionally, reports suggest that Takashi Yamazaki will be the director of the new film.
He already won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for the 2023 film, for which he served as VFX supervisor as well as cinematographer.
