For the first time since their confrontation on the ground in 2020, the former receiver of the NFL Golden Tate gave more overview of his public quarrel with the current corner of Miami Dolphins Jalen Ramsey.
Tate made an appearance on the podcast “Bussin ‘With The Boys”, where he told Co-Animators Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, former NFL players themselves, of what led to him and Ramsey an altercation on the field in 2020.
Tate played for the New York giants in what would be his last NFL season after 11 years, when they had to face Ramsey and the Rams of Los Angeles.

For the context, Ramsey was previously dated one of the twin sisters of Tate, and their relationship ended when she was pregnant with their second child.
“Now things have happened in this relationship where I don’t think my sister was finished or treated as she should have been treated,” said Tate on the Podcast. “And when it happens, who you have to come see? You have to come and see Big Bro.”

The quarrel began to warm up when Tate responded to a fan who tweeted him in October 2019 after a photo of Ramsey and his new girlfriend was made public. The fan wrote: “If I were @ShowtimeTate, I would have words with this young guy”, in reference to Ramsey.
“He knows he will have to see me,” said Tate.
Well, this meeting was on NFL field when the giants went to Los Angeles to face the Rams. Tate said he and Ramsey started going back and forth.

“We go out there, and immediately, first, he blurs me too much, and I say to myself” ok, that’s how we are going to do, “said Tate.
“… What I do, I can’t cost my team a penalty or cost me money, so it’s in my back pocket. I’m not going to do that because it’s selfish, but I’m in his face, I’m talking about my mess, he talks about his disorder.”
It was a low score match between the Giants and the Rams, but the latter left victorious, 17-9. However, the tension took place completely after the match when Tate approached Ramsey.
Ramsey swung to Tate and a physical altercation ensued with the two teams that get involved to break it.

“The game ends. I run up there to expect it, what will happen? And he comes to find me … I see where he is. I went to him with my helmet, and he swings, but I knew he was going to swing, so I would separate us, and I went to throw him away, and the next thing you know, they had everyone on us, so they separated.
Ramsey spoke of this fight in the past when it appeared as Podcast “The Pivot” in 2022.
“We knew what we were going to do,” he said. “I mean it’s his sister, that’s what he was supposed to do too. But it also bothers you about your business. It’s me too.”

Five years later, Tate and Ramsey never reconciled, but they have set their differences aside for children.
“We did not speak, but I think we both agreed not to be Knuckleheads for the improvement of his daughters and my nieces, and it is in a way where we are holding,” said Tate.
