Google explains the ‘confusion’ of Gemini Home rollout – and reveals when to expect a full launch

  • Google explained the Gemini for Home rollout in more detail
  • It is based on personal addresses rather than user accounts
  • Update expands beyond the US in early 2026

Gemini replaces Google Assistant everywhere, including the Google Home app, although the change hasn’t exactly been smooth and seamless. Google has now released a new set of answers to questions users have during deployment.

As spotted by Android Authority, the new forum post mainly discusses when Gemini for Home will go live. According to Google, it will be aimed at users in the United States first, then to other markets starting in the first quarter of 2026 (in other words, sometime before the end of March 2026).
