Google seems ready to give Google Gemini some serious upgrades by allowing it better access to your applications without forcing you to modify your privacy settings and give it new capacities in these applications.
You may have seen an email that Google sent to users of the Android phone indicating that GEMINI will be able to interact with phone, messages, WhatsApp and utility applications, even if the activity of Gemini applications is deactivated.
The immediate reaction was a concern, but it is actually a huge victory in terms of intimacy.
With the activity of activated gemini applications, Google can see an activity log of how you use Gemini – personal data that he can then use to develop his products more. If you want to keep this more private data, you must have lost gemini to access extensions, which allows it to perform actions using other applications, such as SMS to someone if you ask.
This change means that you can keep your private business newspaper while still not losing these basic features of the smart assistant, which the Google assistant has for years.
Although this cannot say that Google will not store any of your gemini activity, even if this parameter is disabled. Google admits that it will store certain activity data for at most 72 hours. RCS supports entering?
Perhaps in preparation for gemini with easy access to messages – and therefore probably more people using the application – Gemini also gets RCS upgrade, apparently.
This is based on Android Authority analysis on the latest Google App files, which suggests that RCS coming to Gemini because AI can recover RCS capabilities of the device. This would only be necessary if the AI was compatible with RCS.
This is significant because currently, Gemini’s incapacity to use RCS means that it is unable to send or read audio, images or videos via the Google Messages application. With access to this messaging standard, it could very quickly change.
As with similar leaks, there is no guarantee that Gemini will obtain the RCS support of so early (or at all), but it certainly has a lot of meaning as upgrade, so it is the one that we keep the eye open.
