- The Google Pixel 10 series does not include battery share
- This function has been deleted to allow the magnetic wireless charge Qi2
- Not all pixel fans are satisfied with this change
The Google Pixel 10 series is delivered with a number of new features, but certain things are also missing, the battery shares in particular the absence of these phones.
This is Google’s name for its inverted wireless load function – in other words, the possibility of using your phone to load other devices wirelessly. This is a common feature on Android handsets, including the Google Pixel 9 series, but Pixel 10 is missing.
However, there is a good reason for this, as Droidder asked Google and has been informed that the range of magnets required for the Qi2 magnetic wireless load “creates a strong connection with the charger but has a physical limitation for the inverse wireless load.”
So, in other words, the addition of Qi2 magnetic wireless load (which allows you to use the new Pixelsnap accessories) meant that Google had to remove the share of the battery.
Magsafe with pixel brand
For most people, we bet it is a good job. Pixelsnap looks a lot like Magsafe – it is an ecosystem of wireless chargers and accessories like stands and handles that can be attached to the back of your Pixel 10 with magnets.
This is a practical feature, but not everyone is satisfied with this change, with a reddit wire including comments like “this one hurts a lot”, and “battery sharing that I found such a useful feature”.
However, other comments mentioned barely if ever using it, so it is certainly not a universally appreciated feature. Hopefully, even those who liked Battery Share will also appreciate Pixelsnap – but if not, other brands like Samsung always offer similar inverted load capacities.
