- A rumor of Google Pixel 11 emerged
- There may be modem changes with the tensor G6
- We could see a passage from Samsung to Mediatek
With the Google Pixel 10 series now in the world, the countdown started to launch the Pixel 11 in 2026, and a new rumor suggests that there will be a significant upgrade in terms of the phone processor.
According to the mystical leaks of tips for an idiot (via 9TO5GOOGLE), Google tests a MEDIATEK M90 modem with the Tensor G6 processor, the CPU due to the beginnings with the Pixel 11 – and a follow -up of the G5 tensor in the Pixel 10.
This is significant because it would represent a switch to the Samsung modems on the tensor’s chipsets – a switch which was in fact rumor for the 2025 handsets but which has never materialized. This year, it could really pass.
Regarding what you might see in terms of improvements, better 5G and satellite connectivity speeds have been presented, as well as better energy efficiency – so that Pixel 11 phones would be fresher and faster in theory than their predecessors.
Pixel 11 phones on the way
All this is still rumors and speculation at the moment of course, and nothing is certain until Google makes it official. Until now, Pixel 11 leaks have been relatively thin on the ground, although these handsets arrive shortly before next August.
For the moment, we are still waiting for the standard Pixel 11 to be joined by the Pixel 11 Pro, the Pixel 11 Pro XL and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold – After the Google Pixel 10 Pro – although there is always the possibility that Google surprises us with something new.
We have seen the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and the iPhone Air make its debut this year, so it is not beyond the areas of the possibility that Google decides to introduce a super thin and light phone as part of its own range.
It will be interesting to discover – and to see if the long -standing partnership between Google and Samsung on the Tensor chipset, which has been in place from the very first Pixel, will be dismantled in 2026.
