It seems that the long-awaited rehearsal function of Google Messages is finally during deployment, catching up with other messaging platforms Telegram and Whatsapp. The feature was spotted in the latest beta version of Google messages for SMS and RCS messages, two months after the company started working there.
According to the Android police, one of the first points of sale to spot the functionality, the new “Snomenthe Cat” feature appears when you open a contact page in the Google Messages application, which allows you to silence cats for an hour, eight hours, 24 hours or “ always ”. Android police have also added that they will be deployed to selected users, so everyone will not be able to access it immediately.
In addition to the four rehearsal options, the Android police also spotted a parameter that allows you to receive notifications if you are mentioned (@) even if a cat has been repeated. Recently, Google has played with the idea of introducing a catalization functionality for cats, and although this is not yet available, Android Authority thinks that it could be deployed simultaneously with the rehearsal function.
There are two ways to activate the “snooze” cat. The first is to go to the page of a contact and activate the functionality as mentioned above. Alternatively, you can start a conversation for a long time in your Google Messages reception box and a rehearsal icon will appear in the toolbar as the Android font has tested.
Since its release in 2014, Google Messages has never had a function that allows you to repeat cats so far. Instead, the only way to silence messages and group cats was to silence the notifications manually, but that meant that you had to activate them manually and keep an eye on your conversations.
The Google Messages snooze function is only of its new features. In recent months, the email service has tested a handful of new upgrades, many of which have been expected for a long time, including an option “delete for everyone”. The company has also paid a lot of attention to the upgrading of its group chat ecosystem, testing new group chat links and personalized group chat icons to correspond to the similar features found in WhatsApp.
