- Google Messages began to deploy its functionality “Delete for everyone”
- It was spotted for the first time in February, and now users are starting to access the long -awaited messaging function
- The functionality is deployed slowly, but users have noticed certain reverse
The embarrassing texts are the worst, we were all there, but Google plans to crush this feeling and start to deploy an option “ to delete for everyone ” in Google messages for Android – just a few months after the initial rumors.
The new unsend function will soon have two different options, the first being “ to delete for me ”, which is already part of the ecosystem of Google Messages, and the second being its next button “ “ `to delete for everyone ” which, as its name suggests, will delete the messages of the view of other contacts.
A handful of users have started to notice the new option “delete for everyone” in Google messages, but not everyone has it, which implies that it is gradually deployed. A user with access has published a screenshot on Reddit showing what the new function will look like once it is widely deployed.
Deleting the RCS message is also taking place in beta. R / Googlessages
We first heard of Google’s plans to introduce a Undend button in February when Android Authority shared an APK disassembly, and the writers of the site managed to operate it in March. A functionality like this was long to come for Google messages, but even when it takes place, it will come with slight drawbacks.
Until now, “to delete for everyone” is limited to cats in large group
Regarding insensitive texts, Google Messages is the cause of WhatsApp and Imessage, which offered the possibility of deleting messages for everyone in a cat for a certain time. It is good to see that Google catches up, but there are still two catches that you should note.
As discussed in our previous reports, it is likely that Google will stick to its 15 -minute window for its “deleting for everyone” feature, which means that if you want to delete a text from a conversation, you will have to act quickly enough. But this is not the only problem that users have noticed.
Although the Post Reddit above gives an overview of the appearance of the new functionality of Google Messages, the user also draws our attention to the functionality accessible only in larger group cats. For them, “deleting for everyone” only works in a group cat with 12 members, and they have not yet found a chat 1: 1 which allows them to delete messages for everyone.
As it is possible, this new function has a lot of limitations, but because it is only in the first stages of deployment, we hope that Google will modify them once it will be widely available for all users of Google Messages.
