- Another upgrade has been identified in the beta code of Google messages
- The update would improve the way the longer texts are managed
- There is no word on how long it will remain before the functionality is put online
Sometimes the situation requires long and thoughtful text rather than a quick and short text, and Google messages finally improves the support of these prolonged missives, according to a new code identified in the beta version of the application for Android.
This code is not yet activated, but as identified by Android Authority, it extends the text composition box to 12 lines – which represents the four current, and means that you do not have to continue scrolling up and down to review your message before sending it.
If you are a regular user of Google messages, you will know that it can be boring to compose a long text, then disappear half. It tends to break the writing flow, but that should be less a problem in the future.
Google did not officially say anything about the course of this functionality, so we do not know how long it will take to reach everyone – but it is cooked in the Google Messages beta code suggests that upgrade will begin to appear as soon as possible.
Obtain the message
Google messages is now the default messaging application on Pixel and Samsung phones, and Google has worked hard to make sure you choose it in relation to any other cat application – like Whatsapp or Facebook Messenger.
Towards the end of last year, Google has deployed a lot of features to improve messages safety, including better detection of the scam and controls to block the messages that come from international sender that you do not know.
Earlier this year, Google added upgrades to contact the emergency services, when it also seems to have listened to users – reversing a frustrating change that prevented user nicknames and profile photos from being modified.
It seems that there is also much more in the pipeline: we have seen signs of a remote deletion function, simpler group chat management and support for better quality photos and videos sent via your cats.
