- Google Photos could be online for another AI upgrade
- The photo-to-video function can get a complete prompt box
- It shows Google’s continuous commitment to AI’s features
One of the interesting tips that AI robots are able to transform fixed images into short video clips, and this is something you can already do on Google Photos, to a limited measure. It now seems that the functionality will obtain a substantial upgrade.
As the Android Authority team pointed out, there is hidden code in the last Google Photos application which suggests that there will soon be a complete text prompt invite for this video image function – so that you can describe exactly what you want.
This gives you much more flexibility than the current options, which started to deploy in July to certain users: “Subtil movement” and “I feel lucky”. These options mainly allow AI to decide how the photo must be animated.
The functionality continues to be fueled by the old Google VEO 2 model. It is not up to the standards of the latest Veo 3 model, but it is always capable of impressive and funny results – and all you need is a starting image.
The continuous propagation of AI
This is another example of how Google pushes its tools in all its different applications and services – giving Gemini, Veo and other models a wider range than competitors such as Chatgpt can manage for the moment.
This also extends to gadgets: Google has recently introduced a range of new smart home products, including updated nest cameras and a smart Google speaker arriving next year, and they all come with Gemini on board.
However, Openai continues to extend its offers with more applications, such as the Sora 2 video application recently launched and in a way a joint social network. Rumors continue that there are also material devices fueled by the chatpt on the track.
There is no guarantee that the hidden feature spotted on Google Photos will eventually appear and take place to everyone, but this probably seems a next step – so keep an eye on the application for all the updated options that appear.
