- A complete list of colors and storage configurations fled for the Pixel 10 series
- Curiously, you may only be able to get jade shade with 256 GB of storage
- The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL could start with only 128 GB
After the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 expected from tomorrow and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Reveal, the Google Pixel 10 series is probably the next big smartphone launch that we will see, and the leaks are starting to paint an image of what to expect, to the colors of the combinations.
According to the distributor data seen by Droidlife, the Google Pixel 10 will be sold in obsidian (black), gel (probably white), indigo (purple or blue) and lemongrass (a pale yellow), all with a choice of 128 GB or 256 GB of storage.
For the Google Pixel 10 Pro, there is the porcelain (white) or moon stone option, each with 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB of storage, and there is also an obsidian shade with the same storage capacities with an option of 1 TB. Curiously however, they also mention a shade of jade (green), but say that it is only available with 256 GB of storage.
The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is listed in the same selection of colors as the Pixel 10 Pro, but there is no 128 GB option for porcelain or moon stone shades.
Finally, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is listed as coming from configurations 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB, which are all available in moonstone, while only 256 GB and 512 GB are available in jade.
Strange options
There are a few slightly strange things here. The first limits Jade’s shade to a capacity of 256 GB for the Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 Pro XL. It is not completely unknown for the manufacturers of phones to offer only certain colors with a certain storage capacity, but that would seem unfortunate since Jade looks like one of the most interesting color options.
You are also apparently limited to the shadow of the obsidian for these two phones if you want 1 TB of storage, and if you want a 128 GB 10 Pro XL pixel, the obsidian will also be the only color option.
Another notable thing here is that the Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 Pro XL will apparently start at 128 GB. This is true for current models, but it is not a very “pro” storage capacity, so we would not have been surprised if it was abandoned.
In addition, the colors here do not correspond to a previous leak of 10 colors pixels. Droidlife notes that distributors sometimes use code names for colors, which could explain the differences if code names were used here but not in previous leaks. However, some of them are colors in which we have seen pixels before, and therefore they are probably not code names. Thus, one of these leaks is probably wrong.
We will probably discover which on August 20, because it is the release date of Pixel 10 Pixel 10, but it is likely that many more leaks and rumors will emerge before that.
