- Google shared a teaser video for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold
- The video completely displays the phone, but does not include any specification
- Leaks and rumors gave us a good idea what to expect from the phone
You cannot disclose something that has already been officially shown – or at least it could be Google’s thought, because the company has now teased several combined upcoming, its last teaser focusing on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
In a brief YouTube video, the company displayed the phone on the front and rear, revealing a device that looks a lot like the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, with a large camera block that looks a bit like two smaller camera blocks trapped together.
You can also see a punch camera in the upper right corner of the foldable screen, which again corresponds to the previous model.
To watch
No specification is revealed, with the narration which accompanies him joking about the joys to be able to open a new phone twice when you buy a foldable (the first time being the opening of the box, the second of the phone itself).
However, thanks to leaks and rumors, we have a good idea of what to expect when Google fully reveals this phone – probably on August 20 – and below, we have listed five of the main improvements that we will probably see.
1. An IP68 note
Although the Pixel 10 PRO folds may not be very different from the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, it could have a lot of less visible differences, including better dust resistance.
A leak suggested that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will have an IP68 note, which would mean that it is certified to resist water to depths up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, as well as dust.
The Pixel 9 Pro fold for comparison at an IPX8 side, which means the same level of water resistance but no real dust resistance.
Thus, adding dust resistance to Pixel 10 Pro Fold would be a big victory, especially since no current foldable phone has much dust resistance. But the fact that none has such robust resistance, also makes us slightly skeptical about whether Google’s phone will succeed.
2. A big battery
In addition to lacking dust resistance, foldable phones also often have difficulties in terms of battery capacity, these devices generally having smaller batteries than non -repressable phones – which themselves tend to have much smaller screens to power.
It is not ideal, but the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold could take a step in the right direction, with reports suggesting that it could have a 5,050 mAh battery. This represents 4,650mAh in the Pixel 9 Pro fold, so it would be a significant improvement in capacity.
This would also mean that this phone has a larger battery than its main rival, because the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a much smaller 4,400mAh.
3. Camera coach and vocal editing
Google is one of the biggest names in AI, so of course, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will have new features of AI, and we have heard of two possible.
More exciting, there is a rumor functionality called “Camera Coach”, which will apparently help you teach you to take better photos, by analyzing the shots you take and making suggestions on how they could be improved.
But we have also heard of a “conversational photo editing” mode, which will apparently allow you to use your voice or a typed text to tell the Gemini to modify your images, such as the deletion of the unwanted elements or the adjustment of the background.
These two tools should help improve the already impressive pixel photography experience.
4. A tensor chipset G5
The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is also more powerful than its predecessor, with many leaks – and a past form – suggesting that it will have a G5 Tensor chipset, replacing the G4 tensor of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
It should therefore give the phone a boost, which could help with AI, games and more. This chipset will probably not still be as powerful as the Snapdragon 8 elite used by the Samsung Galaxy S25 range, but for most users, it should always be powerful enough.
5. Screen improvements
Finally, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold could have a better screen than the current model. More specifically, the cover screen can be slightly larger at 6.4 inch (up 6.3 inches on the Pixel 9 Pro folding). But due to smaller glasses, he might no longer take up space.
In addition, we understand that the display of the coverage could have a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits – which is up 2,700 nits on the current model. This leak does not mention the main display, but it is likely that it would also get a boost, because otherwise it would be less shiny than the cover screen.
