- Google Drive adds miniature previews when searching for videos
- Like Youtube, this will allow you to spot exact moments in the videos
- He will soon be available for all Google Drive users
Browse the videos to find the moment you need should soon become much easier thanks to a new update to come on Google Drive.
The Cloud storage platform has revealed that users will now be able to see a miniature preview image when they fly over the video progress bar.
Just like when visualizing a video on YouTube, this feature should allow users to sail quickly around a video, which makes it easier to find the specific moments they need.

“With the possibility of finding the right times in the videos, this update improves productivity and the global experience of video visualization in Google Drive,” wrote the company in a blog article Google Workspace Updates.
The feature will only be available for new videos downloaded from your Drive account via a web or mobile application.
Users will then have to open the video recently downloaded in Drive Web, and will then be able to hover their mouse on the video progress bar to see the vignettes. Slipping your mouse along the progression bar will allow you to quickly go through the video using the stickers to find the place where you need.
What is even better is that the feature will be open to all users, the company noting that it will be offered to all Google Workspace customers, individual google workspace subscribers and users with Google Personal accounts.
It takes place now and will also not require additional administration control to be used.
Functionality is the latest in a series of Google Workspace upgrades to stimulate productivity between users.
The company has revealed a multitude of new IA tools and services for Google Workspace earlier this year, including generated background images and a studio look, studio lighting and studio sound for Google Meet, as well as translated for me, coming to Google Chat.
This was quickly followed by a certain number of office software upgrades fueled by AI during its Google Cloud 25 event designed to give users an increase in productivity and creativity when they need it, including new audio tools in Google Docs which can create listening versions of your document, as well as improved analysis tools for Google Sheets to help you get the most out of your data.
