Govt allocated RS600m to put the man in space

The upcoming budget is likely to see the award of billions of rupees for Pakistan’s progress in spatial exploration, including the country’s pride project to send its first man to space and a satellite communication system for several stakes.

The federal government proposed the RS24 billion allocation to the Space and High Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) in the development budget for the next financial year 2025-266. The allowance includes 600 million rupees for the lively space mission in the next financial year.

According to officials, more than 18 billion rupees are spent on the multiple communication satellite system; 400 million rupees for a new Pakistani lunar exploration project; RS1.8 billion for the astronomical project of deep space; and RS1.7 billion for the Pakistani optical remote sensing satellite project.

Other allowances, according to managers: more than 500 million rupees are allocated to the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC); Over 50 billion rupees for the firm division; and 50 billion rupees for members of Parliament members.

The government plans to spend 134.2 million rupees for the development of infrastructure in the federal capital, 100 million rupees for the restoration and upgrading of national archives, and 650 million rupees for the construction of the Hajj complex in Lahore.
