The Minister of Energy, Awais Leghari, inaugurated on Tuesday the first fast station of Pakistan at 120 kW, developed by Gogreen Avenue, according to a statement from the electricity division.
During the inauguration of Islamabad, Leghari reaffirmed government dedication to clean energy and sustainable transport, declaring that such initiatives are essential to transform the country’s energy and transport sectors.
He noted that the launch of the fast charging station means Pakistan’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and promoting the adoption of electric vehicles (EV).
The Minister announced a reduction in unit prices for electrical billing from RS71 to RS39, aimed at making adoption EV more accessible and more affordable.
He praised the public-private partnership which concluded this project, highlighting the essential role of private investment in achieving the durability objectives of Pakistan.
Leghari has concluded that the government remains determined to support green energy projects that offer long -term environmental and economic advantages.
