Govt launches sleeves for superflos

Karachi / Guddu / Sukkur:

On Sunday, the Sindh’s main minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the provincial government had taken emergency measures given the threat of a possible superflore.

The absolute priority of the government, he added, is the protection of human lives, livestock and critical infrastructure.

Sharjeel said that the District Administration, the Province of Disaster Management (PDMA), the Pakistani navy and the Pakistani army jointly carry out evacuation and rescue operations. He added that 192 boats were deployed in the Katcha regions to facilitate the evacuation in a timely manner.

Thousands of families, he added, were moved to safe places, including schools, government buildings and tent villages, where food, drinking water and health establishments have been organized. Machines, stones and labor have been deployed on vulnerable sites.

He called on the public and the media to cooperate with the administration and to refrain from spreading rumors or panic.
