  • The Ministry of Finance warns modified fuel categories.
  • Kerosene reduced by RS1.46, light diesel by RS2.4.
  • The new fuel prices will be in force from September 1.

The federal government has decided to maintain the price of unchanged gasoline, while reducing Diesel at high speed of RS3 per liter for the next fortnight

The new fuel prices will be in force from September 1, according to an official notification issued by the Ministry of Finance.

He said that the price of upper kerosene oil (SKO) has been reduced by RS1.46 per liter, and that of light diesel oil (LDO) of RS2.4 per liter.

The new prices of high -speed diesel, kerosene and light diesel will be RS269.99, RS176.81 and RS159.76 per liter, respectively.

Fuel plague small vehicles, ripens and bikes, which makes the price increases particularly difficult for medium and low-income households that depend on daily trips.

On the other hand, a substantial part of the transport sector depends on the high -speed diesel. Its price is considered to be inflationary due to its widespread use in trucks, buses, trains and agricultural machines, such as tractors and tube wells.

The increase in the cost of high -speed diesel contributes directly to the rise in vegetable prices and other essential foods.
