The Minister of Planning, Ahsan Iqbal, presided over a meeting on water and electricity issues in Gwadar on Sunday to improve local residents.
According to a press release, the meeting discussed in detail of the electricity shortage and water problems in Gwadar.
The Minister of Planning ordered that the creation of a 170 MW solar factory in Gwadar is examined so that water supply and uninterrupted energy for domestic and industrial use can be assured.
The meeting decided that 2 MW of electricity would be immediately planned to guarantee the water supply to Gwadar so that the problems linked to the supply of water due to the energy shortage can be corrected.
