Islamabad:
The Minister of Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, announced on Tuesday a significant reduction in the costs of the Packages of Hajj.
Addressing a press conference at the ministry, he declared that the cost of the 40 -day hajj package had been reduced by RS25,000, bringing the total to RS1 050,000. The pilgrims who opt for the package will have to pay a Third episode of RS450,000.
Likewise, the minister said that the 25 -day Hajj Court package was still reduced by RS50,000, which set the new price at RS1100,000. The third episode of this package will be RS500,000.
He said all pilgrims are required to submit their third episode in the banks designated between February 6 to 14.
In another major development, the Minister announced a reimbursement of more than 4.75 billion rupees to the pilgrims who carried out the HAJJ in 2024. He said that the reimbursements had been classified in seven different groups, on the basis of factors such as accommodation in Mina, accommodation in Makkah, and Maktab C Allocation. In addition, the savings in Querbani reimbursements and plane ticket discounts are also transmitted to pilgrims.
Stressing the statistics of the reimbursement process, the Minister said that 14% of pilgrims (9,588 people) will receive 20,000 rupees, five percent (3,358 individuals) will receive 35,000 rupees, 19% (12,981 individuals) will receive RS50, 000, 23% (16,037 individuals) will receive 75,000 rupees, 26% (17,828 people) will receive 90,000 rupees, 10% (6,784 people) will receive RS110,000 and three percent (2,228 people) will receive RS140,000.
Refunds will be transferred via the designated banking branches. The Minister confirmed that the transfer of funds to the designated banks would begin in the next two days.
