Islamabad:
A special working group, trained to solve the problems of pilgrims going to Iran and Iraq, decided on Friday from January 1, 2026, a new system for group organizers will be implemented and that the existing salary system will be completely interrupted.
From January 1, 2026, only the registered group organizers will be authorized to organize pilgrimages, said a statement after the meeting.
The meeting was held under the presidency of the Minister of the Interior Mohin Naqvi. The Federal Minister of Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, the Federal Minister of Pakistani abroad Chaudhry Salik Hussain and the Minister of State in the Interior Talal Chaudhry also attended Reunion.
The FIA and other agencies concerned have been invited to take all the necessary measures to prevent illegal travel in Iraq under the cover of pilgrimage.
Until now, 1,413 requests for the registration of the group organizers have been received and the examination process is underway.
Civil Aviation Authority informed that the number of weekly flights to Iran has increased from 6 to 15 years, while 107 special flights were organized for Iraq during Arbaeen.
