Islamabad:
The Senatorial Committee on the Permanence of Pakistani and the development of human resources abroad was informed Thursday that Europe was to demand 450 million skilled workers in the coming years, and Pakistan is moving to position its workforce to meet demand.
Likewise, a work agreement has already been signed between Italy and Pakistan, while a similar agreement with the Bélarus is expected soon.
During the session, chaired by Senator Zeeshan Khanzada, secretary of the Overseas Pakistani Ministry and Human Resources development, Dr. Arshad Mahmood, the Bélarus needed around 150,000 qualified workers.
Efforts are made to send as many Pakistani workers as possible, he added.
Dr. Mahmood also said that Europe requires skilled labor and that Pakistan has launched six-month-old specialized training programs in five universities, especially nust, aimed at guaranteeing confirmed employment possibilities at the end.
He revealed that the Italian Minister of the Interior went to Pakistan one day earlier and officially signed a bilateral agreement to recruit qualified work in Pakistan.
The CEO of Sehat Sahut Program Muhammad Arshad informed the committee that all Pakistani citizens were entitled to free medical treatment as part of the program.

In addition, the director general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the Committee that Pakistan had signed prisoner exchange agreements with eight countries, under which 185 convicted people were repatriated.
