- New S2 driver for even more sonic subtlety
- New Grado B cushion for improved comfort and acoustic performance
- Lightweight and comfortable for long listening
Grado makes some of the best wired headphones (and as our Grado SR80x review proves, they don’t always have to empty your wallet), although its Signature models are both incredibly attractive on the ears. And now there is a third model in the Signature line, the Grado S750.
The main features here are a new 50mm driver and an all-new ear cushion design, both designed with sound improvement in mind. And numerous improvements should make them even more comfortable than their predecessors.
Grado Signature S750: main features and prices
The S2 driver has been redesigned with a carbon fiber and paper composite diaphragm and a lightweight copper and aluminum voice coil. The headphones have a nominal impedance of 38 ohms and offer a frequency range of 6 Hz to 46 kHz.
In addition to the new speaker, there are also new ear cushions, and their design isn’t just about comfort. They shorten the distance between your ear and the speakers and feature eight precision-cut slots to improve airflow and open up the soundstage. Grado claims they offer a “distinct new sensation” and reduce fatigue during longer listening sessions.
The new cushions come standard on the S750, but you can also purchase them separately. They are compatible with all current Grado wired headphones.
The S750 is lighter than its predecessors, weighing 460g – 10% lighter than the HP100 SE – and it has a slightly narrower but more deeply padded leather headband. The construction is aluminum and as with other Signatures, the cables are detachable.
The S750 cable is a six-foot gold braided cable that connects via a balanced 4-pin mini XLR and terminates in an unbalanced 6.35mm plug. Grado will release more cables soon and offer more termination options.
The Grado Signature S750 headset will be available from November 2025 for $1,695 / £1,695 (around AU$3,470).
