Quetta:

On Monday, two distinct incidents of violence in Balutchistan renewed concerns about public security and the overall security landscape of the province.

In Quetta, an explosion of Granada near Bakra Mandi along the Oriental Pontage left three people injured, including the house officer (SHO) of the Manzoor Shaheed police station.

According to police officials, the attack targeted a mobile patrol unit and was led by unidentified attackers.

The injured police were quickly transported to a government hospital, where they received emergency medical treatment. In response to the attack, law enforcement organizations completed the area and launched a research operation.

Oriental bypass has experienced similar incidents in the past, which raises questions about security measures in the region.

The authorities have since tightened security in sensitive areas of the city.

Meanwhile, in Mastung, a separate violent incident sparked a major public demonstration.

After a man was fatally killed near the bypass of Alizai, his family and his local residents organized a demonstration by placing the victim’s body on the Quetta-Karachi highway, demanding the immediate arrest of the officials.
