Five things we have learned
From our first clues on what history could be on a distribution of officially confirmed characters, the trailer (and the corresponding update of the Rockstar website) taught us a lot on GTA 6.
If you are just listening to my cover and you want a concentrated dilapidation of all the biggest news, my colleague independent writer half Williams has drawn up a list of the five biggest things we know now.
You can read the full list below.
The Rockstar website is back!
Excellent news to all! After a trembling start, it seems that the Rockstar website is back online.
It has a multitude of screenshots to go, so I would recommend heading there now.
The latest key art revealed
The trailer was launched alongside two new key pieces of art for the game. The two show Jason and Lucia together and follow this emblematic Grand Theft Auto Stylized aesthetic.
Of the two, the one with the two characters on a platform is certainly my favorite. It is shiny, colorful and really highlights the emblematic summer atmosphere of the city of Vice.
After having briefly reassembled, it seems that the Rockstar website has completed fans impatient to start it to cover the last details.
I currently see the following error message trying to get it on the screen:
"Access Denied You don't have permission to access " on this server."
I hope the website will come back online soon!
A favorite character of fans returns?
Fans on social networks are currently specifying that the trailer could give us our first overview of a favorite return character of fans.
Phil Cassidy, a leading character in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City And Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories Could come back, because there is undeniably someone who looks a lot like him in the trailer.
We see a brief announcement for a weapon store called Phil’s Ammu-Nation, where the character is shown bearing a tank top with the store logo on it.
Now, this could, of course, be a completely independent Phil, but given the quantity of Rockstar tends to bring back familiar faces in his games, it seems sure to assume that it is a modern interpretation of Cassidy.
The detailed final character on the website is Brian Heder, a “classic driver of the golden age of smuggling” currently living with his third wife Lori.
The site reveals that Brian leaves Jason Live without rent in exchange to help his local shakedowns. This explains one of the scenes we see at the start of the trailer, where Brian arrives at Jason to ask him to get his checks – probably money from neighboring companies.
The website also presents Raul Bautista to us. An experienced bank thief, he is looking for new talents for new banking jobs.
Raul could very well be part of the “plan” mentioned in the description of Lucia. Will history present the pair that steals banks through vice city for easy cash? This certainly seems likely, especially given the handful of shots showing what seems to be various flights in the trailer.
And now a little more on Dre’quan Priest.
A drug trafficker becomes the music producer, Dre’quan goes up to Vice City. He has just signed the real dimenz, two young rappers who are massive on social networks and who could be his mark to the mainstream success.
The real dimer, Bae-Luxe and Roxy, are again two longtime friends upwards five years after their single at the start with a local rapper called Dwnply.
We also have Boobie Ike (yes, that’s really his name). It is apparently a leading figure of Vice City, with real estate, a strip club and a recording studio.
He works in partnership with a “young budding musical magnate” named Dre’quan in an adventure called only Raw Records. The duo seeks the next great success apparently, which could prove to be an important intrigue thread in the full game.
Detailed lateral characters
The official website now also tells us about some of the secondary characters that we can expect to meet in the game.
The first is Cal Hampton, a theorist friend of Jason’s plot. According to his description, it seems that his laziness will be somehow a contrast to Jason’s own ambition.
Do you like the song in the trailer?
One of the things that I love most in the trailer is his music, the 1986 Hot Song Song of the album of the same name by the pointer’s sisters.
It does not take much imagination to understand why this particular song was chosen – with the lyrics “we could be so hot together”, probably supposed to think about the partnership between Jason and Lucia.
You don’t need to go out Shazam if you want to hear the complete song, as I found on YouTube above.
Do I see a PS5?
This trailer may have been captured on PS5, but that apparently did not prevent the Rockstar games from making fun of the Sony platform.
What seems to be a PS5 parody console is visible in one of the interior photos of the trailer. Don’t mention me on this subject, but I really like the look – maybe a little more than real PS5 Slim life.
The game looks incredible on PS5
Here’s a little thing you may have missed.
The new GTA 6 The trailer ends with confirmation that it was “captured on PS5”. Although the majority of the scenes shown resemble kinematics in the game, it seems sure to suppose that they are returned to the engine given the presence of this text.
This is excellent news, because it suggests that the final game will have a similar level of graphic loyalty to this trailer. Given how incredibly related the whole trailer is, we could soon have one of the best games of all time on our hands.
As for Lucia, it seems that it will be a little a loose gun. “Lucia’s father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk,” says the site. Apparently, she just got out of prison and does not seem to come back.
She dreams of a good life for her mother who, interesting, is from Liberty City – another eminent place in the Grand Theft Auto series.
The website says that she is “engaged in her plan – anyway”. What could be this plan? Presumably a kind of criminal business. We will just have to wait and see …
Our two “heroes” revealed
So on what we can glean on the Rockstar website. One of the first things on the page is an introduction to our two protagonists – Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.
Jason is described as an ex -military soldier working for a local drug cartel. Meeting Lucia, her lover, “could be the best or the worst thing that happens to her.” It seems sure to suppose that their relationship will be a central part of the history of the game.
The Rockstar website has broken down
Unsurprisingly, it seems that the Rockstar Games website is currently experiencing intense traffic. It seems to be broken down, which is quite frustrating because it has been updated with a lot of juicy GTA 6 Info.
Fortunately, we managed to collect most before the website helmet – so hang on for details!
The descriptions of the video reveal details
The description of the new trailer offers an interesting overview, namely by a summary of the shooting plot which gives you an approximate idea of what to expect history this time.
“Vice City, USA,” he reads. “Jason and Lucia have always known that the bridge is stacked against them. But when an easy score turns badly, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy which extends through the state of Leonida – forced more than ever if they want to go alive.”
This, alongside the dialogue in the trailer, finally confirms that the name of Lucia’s partner is indeed Jason, something that was supposed to have been a while.
A new trailer is there!
This is not an exercise – the last trailer for GTA 6 arrived. He gives us an overview of the next Open World game with a lot of superb engine images.
Join me while I provide you with a constant flow of the latest updates surrounding this drop of trailer, and throw part of my own analysis to explain some of the most interesting things it shows.
