A Gujrat court has quashed the arrest warrant and proclamation order against PTI leader Moonis Elahi in a murder case following an appeal filed by his mother Begum Qaisara Elahi.
The appeal was filed in the court of Sessions Judge Saifullah Tarar against the court order declaring Moonis Elahi as a proclaimed offender in a murder case when he had skipped court hearings.
The complainant said in her petition that the murder case was registered on June 29 when Moonis Elahi was abroad since December 28, 2022. She claimed that the police, in bad faith, implicated her son in the affair.
Furthermore, the complainant in the murder case, Muhammad Akram, and witnesses Muhammad Asjad and Sajjad Ashraf filed their affidavits in court, saying that they did not suspect that Moonis Elahi was involved in the murder case. murder. They prayed the court to set aside the order against Moonis Elahi in the case, saying he had nothing to do with the matter. Considering the statements of the complainant and witnesses, the court quashed the arrest warrant and proclamation order against PTI leader Moonis Elahi.
