Hackers claim to have breached Adidas systems, but say a third party is the real victim

  • Lapsus$ hackers claim responsibility for hacking Adidas extranet
  • However, Adidas claims it was a third-party partner that was breached.
  • “A lot of technical data” would have been exposed during a hack

A group of cybercriminals claims to have broken into Adidas and stolen sensitive files, but it appears they only broke into a third-party partner company.

Members of the infamous hacker collective Lapsus$ recently posted a new thread on the BreachForums site, claiming to have infiltrated Adidas’ extranet (a private network that outsiders can still access – in this case, third-party partners) and exfiltrated 815,000 lines of sensitive data.
