Halle Berry says she’s entering a new phase in her life and she has no plans to keep quiet about it.
The Oscar winner, who turns 60 later this year, opened up about aging, visibility and future plans as she posed for a striking new photo shoot with The cut.
At 59, Berry said she’s embracing what she calls her “menopause mission” and is determined to speak out more than ever.
“When you get older, you stop getting bigger like a pork chop,” Berry said, explaining how the way women are perceived in Hollywood changes with age.
She added that getting older can make you feel left out.
“We arrive at this age where we feel marginalized, devalued. We feel it at work. We feel it in society… But I categorically decided that I would not let myself be erased.”
This state of mind is reflected not only in his words, but also in his work.
According to the publication, Berry is gearing up for a busy year, with producing three series and seven films in 2026, while also starring in all of them.
The slate underscores her point that she’s not slowing down, professionally or personally.
Berry also reflected on the personal work that helped her reach this point of self-acceptance.
She credited attending a wellness retreat a few years ago for changing the way she views herself and her relationships.
“I realized I was just drawing mirror images of myself, of broken people, of people with childhood wounds that weren’t being treated,” she said.
“I had to face the pain of what happened to me as a child and reveal my secrets. I had to get it out of my body so I could love myself fully and show myself for my own children.”
This self-love was also visible on her social media.
Berry celebrated her 59th birthday in August by sharing striking photos on Instagram, later revisiting the Bond-style images with another swimsuit post captioned “It’s 59.”
As she looks ahead to 2026, Berry makes it clear that age has not diminished her voice, ambition or presence.
If anything, she says, it gave her the freedom to be stronger, more visible and more herself than ever before.
