Hbo Harry Potter The television show arrives on the small screen in 2027, with the filming officially starting this week. We have already had a first look in the form of Harry by Dominic McLaughlin, and now a second character has followed suit. Hagrid of Nick Frost has already made waves on the internet, but there is something important to keep in mind.
Of course, we all like the original casting in the Harry PotteR Films, including Maggie Smith (McGonagall), Alan Rickman (Snape), Michael Gambon (Dumbledore) and Hagrid Robbie Coltrane original. However, the fact remains that in two years, we will have a new harvest of famous faces in these same roles, such as Paapa Essiedu (SNAPE), John Lithgow (Dumbledore), Nick Frost (Hagrid) and Janet Mcteer (McGonagall).
Obviously, the HBO Max version can never replace that preceded, and it goes without saying that the new television show will probably be completely different. Although these are only hypotheses at this stage, the first look at Nick Frost Hagrid could certainly blur the line between the two of the worst way.
Hagrid in the HBO Harry Potter TV show is too much like the original version of the film?
Obviously, the fact that Harry de McLaughlin looks so much like a young Daniel Radcliffe has incredibly lowered (including with me), but the similarities in the past and the present of Hagrid is slightly more disturbing. Let’s face it – We look at an airograph version of the original in this new photo. Of course, it could be hypocritical, but there is an additional context with Nick Frost Hagrid.
In an interview with Collider, Frost previously confirmed that he would “never” try to be a version of the representation of Coltrane. “You are broken because you are going to bring something to that. Although I am really aware of what was before in terms of Robbie [Coltrane]An incredible performance, I will never try to be Robbie. I will try to do something, not “different”, I think you have to be respectful towards the subject, but in that, there is a scope for the minute, “he said.
In that spirit, I did not expect Hagrid’s physical appearance to be so similar? It is expected that the descriptions of characters will play according to the rules of the book, but that does not mean that the television program must copy exactly what we have seen in the film. Arabella Stanton (Hermione) and Paapa Essiedu (Snape) Castings are big examples, just like the casting of Hit Broadway Play Harry Potter and the cursed child.
There is no doubt that I run before I can walk with my evaluation here, but I think that physical similarity is an obstacle rather than aid. Hagrid is undoubtedly the most loved adult in the group, so we will have the biggest expectations for him. Glue an identical wig and a massive beard on him, and Frost is instantly lost in the shadow of Coltrane. Obviously, Hagrid’s differences will pass through his personality, but is a difference? Are there enough reasons to restart Harry Potter at all?
“I always read Hagrid because he is like a charming, lost, violent, funny and warm child. I think the beauty of being able to make a book a season means that I can explore it much more, and I cannot wait. He is funny! I want it to be funny and frightened and frightened and protective and childish. That’s what I plan to do.”
