Revenues and customs of the United Kingdom (HMRC) officially concluded the bankrupt procedure of Hasan Nawaz Sharif, son of PML-N and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, reported Express News.

According to the government archives, the bankruptcy of Hasan Nawaz was released on April 29, 2025, which makes it legally eligible to use commercial activities and serve as director of the company.

The bankruptcy, which stems from a tax dispute of 10 million pounds sterling, lasted a year and was part of a civil affair.

HMRC confirmed that Hasan Nawaz had had no illegal activity and that he had complied with all legal obligations throughout the process.

Two months earlier, Hasan had voluntarily declared bankruptcy after the HMRC re-fell a tax request for the period 2015-2016, which he disputed as slipped.

He argued that he had already paid applicable taxes and that the renewed complaint was unjustified.

British government documents indicate that there was no sign of non-compliance, obstruction or misconduct during the procedure.

With the conclusion of the case, all trade restrictions on Hasan Nawaz have been lifted and no criminal or civil accusation remains.

The British gazette had previously listed the details of Hasan’s bankruptcy, but the authorities have now closed the issue, saying that there was no conclusion of corruption or mismanagement.

The case, the officials noted, was dealt with within legal limits and has no impact on his ability to do business in the United Kingdom in the future.
