Ads for HBO Harry Potter The remake of the television series rushed to us faster than the Golden Snitch, Warwick Davis being the last face to join the cast. But have we not seen it somewhere before? Oh yes, as a Flitwick teacher in the original Harry Potter movies.
The main cast was fully announced when the shooting begins in London, and Davis is the only actor returning from the original race. Season 1 will not be with us for a while in 2027, which means that if it is in all adaptation, Davis has essentially dropped his suitcases at Hogwarts for another decade of his life. No public declaration has yet been given by the actor, but obviously, it is a movement in charge of the studio.
While the first looks during the on -site distribution in their Wizard Gladrags seem completely identical to the films, many fans have wondered what is the point of restarting the franchise. Now Davis is on board, this argument is now as solid as Cement, and I have the impression of having lost my head (as well as to vacillate on my HBO Max subscription).
Warwick Davis returns to the Harry Potter series proves that HBO does not know what he is doing

Let me say what we all think: why? Why does HBO redo a well known intellectual property to bring former distribution members? Why was only one actor has been brought back, and not more? Why does the television show seem to be so far in shooting like what we have already seen?
I am more disconcerted than Ron in the class of McGonagall, and I have the feeling that I am only at the forefront of the Iceberg of the annoyance. However, fans seem more divided in general. By taking at X / Twitter, we answered the announcement: “What is the interest of this restart if we bring back actors?” Another disagreement: “It makes sense because it is emblematic in the role, keeping continuity and authenticity for fans.”
On the one hand, I understand that Davis taking over its role means that the representation of Flitwick is manipulated with total grace and sensitivity, but if the restart of the television opens the door to (mainly) a new talent, it might be wise to make this summum of continuity in place. Throwing an unknown actor with nanism like Flitwick is surely a victory for HBO that for us (or as you will see below, they already have the perfect person for work).
There is another part to that that bothers me. Flitwick was not the only role Davis played the first time, also playing the role of the cashier and Griphook of Goblin Bank, the Goblin in charge of Gringotts. Although we do not know who will play the storytellers of the bank, Leigh Gill has been rebuilt like Griphook. Admittedly, if you bring Davis at all, bring him back for all the roles he played.
It is this erratic decision -making that is the last nail in the coffin for me. I could not get on board with Nick Frost’s comments on the fight against Hagrid, I could not understand why Sweet Dominic McLaughlin was made like Daniel Radcliffe, and I could not understand why some of my favorite actors chose to align themselves with such a polarizing and controversial project.
It would be better for all of us if the Harry Potter television show was canned and that an unbearable reality TV equivalent was instead for HBO Max, but we are too far for that. I cannot see how Davis (as brilliant as it is, by the way) can successfully fill the gap between the old and the new worlds, since this should be their own separate beings anyway.
If Ralph Finnes ends up being our secret Voldemort, I would really look in The Hope Dark Magic is winning this time.
