The trailer for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is here, giving a glimpse into the Game of Thrones universe but far from the palace intrigues.
In this teaser, the Seven Kingdoms are seen through the eyes of commoners as a young hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Great, accompanied by his squire, Aegon Targaryen, sets off on an adventure.
It comprises six episodes, whose cast includes Finn Bennett, Bertie Carvel, Daniel Ings, Tanzyn Crawford, Sam Spruell, Ross Anderson, Edward Ashley, Henry Ashton, Youssef Kerkour, Daniel Monks, Shaun Thomas, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Steve Wall and Danny Webb.
The series is based on George RR Martin’s short stories Tales of Dunk and Egg, the logline of which reads: “A century before the events of ‘Game of Thrones,’ two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros, a naive but courageous young knight, Ser Duncan the Great, and his little squire, Egg.
“In a time when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet faded from the memory of the living, great destinies, powerful enemies and dangerous exploits await all of these unlikely and incomparable friends,” the synopsis reads.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will air on HBO on January 18.
