Islamabad:
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has set to hear an appeal against the acquittal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the ‘Iddat Nikkah’ case on Monday.
Newly appointed IHC judge Azam Khan will hear the appeal of Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband Khawar Manika. Manika had challenged the verdict announced by the additional sessions judge on July 13, 2024.
The district and sessions court had acquitted Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi by accepting their appeals against the verdict announced by civil judge Qudratullah, who sentenced the couple for seven years each.
