The cold has tightened its grip on Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa with several districts receiving rain, and certain upper regions recording up to 17 inches of snowfall.

The temperature continued to decrease, making the conditions more severe for residents.

According to the meteorological department, the rain and snowfall should persist in the upper and lower chitral, upper and lower districts, Swat, Shangla, Biner, Kohistan, Battagram, Manshra, Khyber and Kurram.

Most of the parts of the province have remained cold and partially cloudy.

The rain was recorded in Chitral, Kohistan, Bajaur, Dir and Swat, while the snowfall covered the mountainous areas of Chitral and Swat.

The heaviest snowfalls were reported in Kalam, where 17 inches were recorded. Malam Jabba received two inches, while Chitral recorded an inch. The lowest temperatures were also noted in these areas, with paratrooper at -4 ° C, Malam Jabba at -2 ° C and Kalam at -1 ° C.

With more rain and snow expected in the coming days, the authorities have advised residents of the affected areas to take the necessary precautions.

In addition, Punjab should have a dry and sunny time over the next three days, without rain in forecasts, according to the meteorological department.

Morning temperatures will remain cool, while the afternoon should be soft in most cities.

Murrier will be the coldest location, with temperatures falling at -2 ° C at night. The humidity level in the mountain station is 57%. Meanwhile, the main urban centers, including Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan, will see minimum temperatures between 8 ° C and 11 ° C.

In southern Punjab, Bahawalpur will have the highest humidity at 94%, with temperatures varying between 8 ° C and 11 ° C. Dera Ghazi Khan and Multan will undergo similar conditions, the diurnal summits reaching 10 ° C.

Rawalpindi, Attock and Chakwal will see cooler mornings, with minimum temperatures oscillating between 5 ° C and 7 ° C. Jhelum and Sargodha will have slightly warmer conditions, with lows from 8 ° C to 10 ° C.

The Met Office predicted a clear sky for all major cities, without any significant change expected in weather conditions until Friday. Residents can expect continuous dry conditions with fresh mornings and sunny afternoons.
