Dyson is really, really good for moving the air. While the company has made its name in the vacuum cleaner, it is now almost also known for its Aircare devices – it makes some of the best fans and the best air purifiers, sometimes in a single device. In fact, some can also heat or humidify the air, if necessary.
Dyson’s Aircare products are instantly recognizable, most of them sporting a smooth and spatial design which magically seems the wind of nowhere. The drawback of such a established look is that it can be very difficult to make the difference between the different models of the range. With a wide selection of options available, it can be difficult to determine exactly which product is, then which to buy.
We have gathered this guide to help you make the difference between the different options, so that you can choose the right one for your needs.

This table offers a very basic overview of the full range of Dyson Aircare. Click on the links column in the “List price” column to switch to the list of products in Dyson on each territory. If the currency you are looking for is not listed, it is worth making a fast Google, because the product can always be available for purchase via a third -party retailer on this territory.
I mainly want a fan
Great! Most Dyson’s Aircare Apparatus work like fans, so you have a lot of options to choose.
If you just You want a fan, you need Dyson Cool AM07. Because it has only one function, it is the cheapest option in the whole range. You can find out what we thought in our Dyson Cool AM07 review.
If you suffer from seasonal allergies, you may want to consider a combo of influential fans. Your main options here are the TP models, which have names starting with “cool purifier”. The cheapest and most basic option here is the cool TP10 purifier, and the most advanced is the Cool TP09 formaldehyde. Note that the addition of formaldehyde elimination capacities to any Dyson product considerably increases the price.
Perhaps you need a fan because your home is not particularly well insulated and you feel large temperature oscillations between the seasons. In this case, you could consider a combo of fans cannons. This option has the additional advantage of the meaning that the device does not only bring together dust during the summer months. The only option here is the hot + cool jet focus AM09. We tested this one, and you can see how we arrived in our Dyson AM09 Hot + cool review.
Finally, you could go all the pork and opt for a pupil duck. For this, you want the HP range, with names starting “hot + cool purifier”. The options vary according to the country, but the one available everywhere is the Hot + cool Gen1 HP10 purifier.
I mainly want an air purifier
Great! Dyson offers many options for air purifiers. This technology goes hand in hand with what the brand needs for its vacuum cleaners, so it knows what it does in terms of particle capture.
If you just want air purification, see the Big + Purifying formaldehyde models. There are two slightly different versions: the BP04 and BP03, the 04 of which is slightly higher. These are bulky and expensive, and designed to tackle large areas (up to 100 m²) quietly. Purification capacities are almost the best you find anywhere, stretching to include bad guys that most air purifiers cannot manage, such as No2 and formaldehyde. You can read our reflections on this range in our Dyson Big + formaldehyde Dyson Revue.
If you just want a purifier for your bedroom or living room and you prefer something smaller and cheaper, we suggest a purifier. Look in the TP range, with products starting “cool purifier”.
The most affordable and simplest model is the first generation cool TP10 purifier. He always has excellent purification capacities, but he cannot manage everything that Big + Quiet options can. Alternatively, opt for the Cool TP09 formaldehyde, which is more advanced.
Finally, you could opt for a triple action model. Purifying channel options have names that start the “hot + cool purifier” and the codes starting HP, and the most available option is the Hot + Cool Gen1 HP10 purifier. Alternatively, there are a few options that exchange heating for humidification-in the United States, it is PH03 and in the United Kingdom it is PH04.
I mainly want a radiator
There are no autonomous heating options in the Dyson range, but it is included as a bonus function with a number of brand appliances.
The simplest and most affordable model is Dyson Hot + Cool Jet Focus AM09, which works like a fan or as a radiator, according to your needs. Otherwise, you will have to opt for a “hot + cool purifier” of three in one with a code name starting HP. All these elements can heat, cool or purify the air. The most widely available is the HOT + Cool Gen1 HP10 purifier. We tested the HP09, and you can read how we went to our Dyson Purifier Hot + Cool Formaldehyde HP09 review.
I mainly want a humidifier
Dyson is not really focused on humidifiers, but again, it is included as an additional function on certain humidifier-funifier combo models. However, you are very limited in the choice. In the United States, you have the humidify + cool PH03 purifier, and in the United Kingdom, it is the humidify + cool -dehyde pH04 purifier.
