Hiran Minar in Sheikhupura is transformed into a new tourism center

The secretary of tourism and archeology of Punjab, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, announced the completion of major projects aimed at transforming the Hiran Minar Historic in Sheikhupura into a new tourist center.

He said the provincial government is trying to upgrade historic sites with modern facilities to improve the experience of national and international visitors.

According to Dr. Bhutta, a floating-monte-restaurant-restaurant was developed in Hiran Minar, offering visitors the unique experience of marina and catering simultaneously. The project was completed in collaboration with the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP).

He also said that with the support of the Wildlife Department, a mini zoo is being created on the site, where around thirty deer and wild sheep from Changa Manga are being moved. To promote ecological mobility, 15 bikes and electric golf carts were provided for a three -kilometer forest walk in the complex.

Dr. Bhutta also revealed that the first itinerary of the double floor tourist bus service had been finalized, connecting the Waris Shah sanctuary with Hiran Minar. In the second phase, the historic Bohli of Jandiala Sher Khan and Fort Sheikhupura will be added to this road.

In collaboration with the Sheikhupura Arts Council, the live performance of the classic Punjabi epic Run up At the Sanctuary of Waris Shah and folk music events by local artists in Hiran Minar will also be organized. In addition, barbecue facilities will be made available for families at nominal costs to encourage a healthy recreational environment.

Dr. Ehsan Bhutta stressed that these initiatives will help establish Sheikhupura as a new tourism center in Punjab, stimulate the local economy and create new job opportunities for the community.
