Strong recent rains have damaged part of the historic Samadhi of Sardar Mahan Singh, located in Sheranwala Bagh, Gujranwala. By receiving incident reports, the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) quickly initiated restoration measures.
After the preparation of an initial evaluation report, repair and catering work have already started to avoid other damage to the wealth site.
The ETPB secretary officially recommended that the district administration that the MC Girls School adjacent to Samadhi is moved to another building to ensure the safety of students and personnel of any potential risk.
Meanwhile, Gujranwala’s administrator as well as the ETPB technical team will remain on site to supervise all precautionary and catering efforts.
The Samadhi of Sardar Mahan Singh is considered a precious part of the history of the Sikh subcontinent and heritage.
