Karachi government hospitals were illuminated with green and white lights, while medical and paramedical staff finalized arrangements to celebrate independence day with national and traditional zeal. The civil hospital, the Karachi Institute for heart disease and other hospitals have been decorated with national flags and electric lanterns.
The hospital administration finalized a lighting program, national songs and flag’s Saigment ceremonies on the night of August 13. Citizens were invited to avoid air layoffs during the celebrations, as it can be fatal.
According to doctors, bullets drawn in the air can return to the field and make innocent lives, which makes everyone responsibility for restraint. The emergency ensemble at the Karachi civilian hospital, Dr. Imran Sarwar, said the air shots cause serious injuries and deaths.
As head of the emergency department, he and his team see dozens of cases each year when people are injured by wandering bullets. He stressed that it is not only a question of applying the law but also a request for humanity and morality.
