Sarah Ferguson, the former wife of Prince Andrew Mountbatten, is grappling with a new crisis that has not only stripped her of her title, but also tarnished her image, which currently appears beyond repair.
But this is not the first time that she finds herself in such a situation. The woman is a true fighter and came out stronger after going through even tougher storms in her personal life.
The Duchess of York was photographed topless with a man in August 1992 while on vacation in the south of France. And this happened while she was still married to Prince Andrew.
Sarah Ferguson was reduced to tears when she found members of the royal family looking at newspapers containing her explicit photos with John Bryan, who was then known as her financial advisor, veteran journalist James Whitaker wrote in his 1993 book “Diana Vs Charles.”
“The couple were kissing and cuddling by the pool and, with the Queen’s grandchildren, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, playing nearby, John Bryan was lying on top of the Duchess.”
He wrote: “On the morning of publication, every member of the Balmoral family was found looking at half a dozen copies of the Daily Record, Scotland’s version of the Mirror, at breakfast. »
“They were clearly taking some pleasure in seeing the Duchess’ impending discomfiture. Suddenly, Fergie herself entered the dining room. I was told.
“There was a mad rush to turn the pages, everyone pretending to read another story. But the Duchess knew. She was on the verge of tears, poor thing. She just didn’t know the photographs would be as explicit as they were.” Five days later, Fergie left Balmoral for the last time as a member of the royal family.
